Becoming a Teacher at TBP

I'm a Texas Certified Teacher - What is the first step to becoming a teacher at TBP?
A valid teaching certificate is required in the state of Texas in order to teach. The first step is to obtain a bachelor's degree, complete a certification program, and pass the certification exams. More information can be found on the TEA website. We also require our teachers to work towards obtaining their ESL certification if they do not already have it.

What if I'm an experienced teacher with out of state certification?
If you already hold a teaching credential from another state or US territory and are seeking certification in Texas, you must apply for a review of credentials. The credentials include official transcripts from all colleges and universities, copies of all standard teaching certificates, and proof of English language proficiency if you earned your degree outside the United States.

What if I am not currently certified to teach but am interested in becoming a teacher?
You can become a Provisional Teacher with us as long as you
- Have a bachelors degree
- Agree to enroll in an Alternative Certification Program such as iTeach or ECAP within 60 days after being hired.

- Submit an application through our website!
- A principal or hiring manager will invite you to an interview - be on the look out for a phone call or email from them!
- After your interview, the Hiring Manager will submit a recommendation to HR
- HR will call you to offer the job and provide additional details
- Think about it or accept on the spot! Congratulations! You're now a TITAN!
- HR will finalize your orientation and start date with you. Be sure to complete any additional steps, such as being fingerprinted as needed, completion of new hire paperwork, and compliance videos.
