On September 7, the second grade students at TBP’s Panola Campus got a special treat: pancakes! As part of a unit on Tall Tales, these students were treated to “giant flapjacks” to correlate with the tall tale of Paul Bunyan. 

“We had been focusing on exaggerations and how ‘Paul’s flapjacks were so big that the pan had to be greased with slabs of bacon attached to men’s feet!’” second grade Mentor Teacher Erin Payne said. “We thought this would be a fun way to wrap up our whole tall tale unit and really commit the exaggerations to the memories of the students.”
