    Pafford Students Earn National Recognition at Business and Professionals Association Leadership Conference

    On Saturday, May 7, students from TBP’s Pafford campus chapter of the Business and Professionals Association (BPA) earned national recognition at the BPA’s National Leadership Conference held in Dallas on May 4-7 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel and Convention Center. In March, the group of six 8th grade students advanced to nationals in this, their inaugural year, to compete against other middle schoolers from across the country in their respective competitions.

    Pafford Students Place as National Qualifiers at Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference

    Six Pafford middle school students prevailed at the recent Business Professional of America State Leadership Conference held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in early March. These outstanding 8th graders are now national finalists who earned a spot at the 56th annual National Leadership Conference at the Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas from May 4-8th. The Trinity Basin Prep Pafford national finalists will compete with other middle school students from across the country as the Texas Association of BPA hosts this year’s National Leadership Conference.

    Pafford/Bolt Campus Construction Continues On-Schedule

    What a difference a month makes! From foundation, to beams, and now walls, construction at TBP’s newest middle school campus on Bolt Street in Ft. Worth is proceeding on schedule to open in fall 2023.

    Bolt Campus Progress Continues Toward August 2022 Opening

    While the project has faced some difficulties due to ongoing supply chain disruption, TBP’s Bolt Campus is still currently on track to open as TBP’s next middle school in August 2022. The new Bolt Campus, adjacent to TBP’s existing Pafford Campus, will host 4-6 sections of 5th through 8th grade students beginning in August.

    Kids Vision for Life Bus Visits Tarrant County Campuses; Dallas County Campuses Up Next

    Each year, TBP hosts the Kids Vision for Life bus to provide students with free eye health and vision exams and, as needed, fittings for a new pair of glasses. This comprehensive program allows students to try on different types of frames and have their lenses cut and set in their frames on-site so that the student goes home that same day with their new set of glasses.

    Pafford Students Interview World War 2 Veteran

    Pafford 6-8th grade Social Studies students were able to Zoom with Corporal Don Graves, a survivor of the Allied assault on the island of Iwo Jima during WWII. Students were able to submit questions for Graves to answer as he recounted his experiences hearing about the bombing of Pearl Harbor, joining the marines, and serving in the Pacific Theatre during the war. The event was organized and moderated by Pafford social studies teacher Julie Donahew-Hegre.
