Since the 2020-21 school, TBP's Panola campus has hosted an annual Battle of the Books.

In this event, students read books from the Texas Bluebonnet Award list for 3^rd-5^th grades and the Texas Lone Star Award list for 6^th-8^th grades. Teams are made up of four students with one alternate and they compete at a campus level.

Last year, because of COVID restrictions, our students were only able to compete at the campus level. This year, however, we hope to send our top teams to compete against other TBP campuses in a district level competition.
