Aspiring Ewing Art Critics Participate in Virtual Art Museum Field Trip
Ewing’s Leia Jobe transformed her art classroom into an “art museum” and took students on a virtual field trip to learn about museum etiquette, art appreciation, and sketching from reference. Students went on a scavenger hunt to track down real examples of all the elements of art, including color, line, shape, texture, form, space, and value.

Ewing Students Apply Principles of Art to Valentine’s Themed Project
During the week leading up to Valentine's Day, student's at the Ewing Campus learned about rhythm in art by studying street artist and designer James Goldcrown. Students used high contrast chalk to create Valentine’s Day themed heart art that demonstrates many of the principles of art and elements of design, including rhythm, contrast, pattern, color, shape, movement, and balance.

Ewing Students Harvest Community Garden as Treat for Campus Pets
Following a reading of the “The Icky Sticky Frog” by campus RTI Specialist Louise Mason, Ewing students were able to harvest spinach, kale, and lettuce for Jefferson, the campus pet rabbit. The remaining greens will be used to feed other campus pets.
