Of the Jefferson campus 8th graders taking advantage of Dallas ISD’s school of choice program, over 80% have been accepted to one of their top choice high schools for the 2022-23 school year. The Dallas ISD school of choice program is a competitive program, which allows students to apply for and attend an advanced program or a school outside of their home campus.
Beginning in early June, TBP’s Jefferson Campus will be the site of HHM Health, an on-site Federally Qualified Health Center for primary care in Dallas and surrounding counties. HHM Health provides care for those who do not have insurance as well as those who have insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare, Affordable Care Act plans, and regular insurance.
To prepare our eighth grade Titans for their transition to high school, on the evening of December 8, TBP’s Jefferson Campus hosted 19+ booths from various Dallas ISD programs, including Townview, North Lake, Trinidad Garza, Adamson P-TECH, and New Tech high schools.
Jefferson art teacher Lynnette Anderson and music teacher Crystal Sanchez joined forces to help students study the art, history, and culture of various countries around the world in what they’re calling the “Passport Experience.” The project has students creating their passport and learning about the passport and their responsibility of keeping up with while they “travel.”
